The Sokolow Theatre/Dance Ensemble is honored that Christine Dakin will join us on May 28 & 29 in Modern Rebels. In a recent interview, Ms. Dakin shared her thoughts about the power of dance and the gift of art.
“Moods and Dreams” ranged from the meditatively personal “Poem” to the haunting Holocaust-inspired “Dreams.” The dancers’ grounded strength, unexaggerated power, and fierce theatrical determination made the works seen timeless.

“Truth in Motion,” a one-act play about Anna Sokolow by Cynthia Chapman, premiered as part of the festival “Untold Stories of Jewish Women” sponsored by the Museum of Jewish Heritage. Associate Artistic Director Eleanor Bunker portrayed Anna.
