Oct 26-30, 2019 at Peridance Capezio Center, NYC. Led by Sokolow Theatre/Dance Ensemble founder and director Jim May, this one week workshop is a unique opportunity to challenge creativity, go beyond academia, and explore one’s voice in the artistic community
May 26-31, 2019, Lecce and Bari, Italy. Sokolow Theatre/Dance Ensemble founder and director Jim May will teach a Sokolow repertory workshop, and direct and perform in two concerts, sponsored by Koreoproject.
June 3-14, 2019 at Ballet Hispanico, NYC. Based on the dynamic heritage of the Humphrey/Limón tradition, internationally renowned master teachers Betty Jones and Fritz Ludin transmit their own individual ways of dance. Their mentor’s voices (of the body), the experience of gravitational momentum, and breaching of barriers, will be an integral part of the workshop.
October 1-12, 2018 at Ballet Hispanico, NYC. Mon-Fri, 10:45-12:45 pm. Internationally renowned master teachers Betty Jones and Fritz Ludin return to teach at Ballet Hispanico in New York City. The current of life energy that runs through the body and gives dance its ultimate beauty and vitality will be an important topic of the workshop.
