To bring light to the dark of midwinter, Sokolow Theatre/Dance Ensemble is bringing a program of joyful dances created by several generations of choreographers to the Stone Circle Theatre in Ridgewood, NY. Dec 12 & 13, 2024.

Philadelphia’s Dancefusion and Casual Fifth jointly present a concert of dance, percussion, and live music, including several works by choreographer and ST/DE Founding Director Jim May.

4/30 – Close Quarters II with The Bang Group

The Sokolow Theatre/Dance Ensemble returns to the Slipper Room with another edition of Close Quarters, this time with David Parker’s The Bang Group.

1/26 – Library of Congress, Washington DC

To mark the arrival of Anna Sokolow’s and composer Alex North’s archives at the Library of Congress, the Sokolow Theatre/Dance Ensemble will perform and participate in a panel discussion on the story of restoring Anna Sokolow’s early activist dances.

The Sokolow Theatre/Dance Ensemble will join five other dance groups in a celebration of International Women’s Day, presented by MeenMoves, in Riverview-Fisk Park in Jersey City Heights.
