ST/DE performs Schubert Impromptu by Claudia Gitelman at the 24th Annual DUMBO Dance Festival, at the Mark O’Donnell Theater in Brooklyn.
The Intertwine Festival pairs choreographers and composers, offering an opportunity to develop and perform original work with live music. ST/DE artistic director Samantha Géracht premieres a new dance with music composed and played by Emanuel Ayvas. At Jersey City Theater Center.
In this program for all ages, the company draws from three traditions of modern dance to express wonder, community, and hope. Featuring “Christmas Oratorio” by Charles Weidman, “Ballade” and “Preludes” by Anna Sokolow, “Schubert and the Birds” by Claudia Gitelman, and “Forecast” by company members Margaret Brackey and Krista Jansen.
The Sokolow Theatre/Dance Ensemble performs two major works by Charles Weidman, Lynchtown and Bach’s Christmas Oratorio. Scripps Studio Theater at the Paul Taylor Dance Company Studios, NYC.
