This class is taught by Gail Corbin, a leading exponent in the technique and repertory of Doris Humphrey and Charles Weidman. Come and experience “Fall and Recovery” and explore in depth those principles: weight, suspension, successional flow through Humphrey’s purity of movement in the technique and learn excerpts from both Humphrey and Weidman’s rich and dynamic repertory. PROFESSIONAL TECHNIQUE class with improv/composition
taught by Jim May

Jim will give a demanding technical modern dance barre leading to movement through space whose goal is to develop rhythm, style, expression and an ability or knowledge that can be used in creative expression. The class will culminate into improvisational exercise that develop choreographic ideas based on the artistic works and philosophy of Thomas Hard Benton. These efforts will be performed at the end of the session in May.
