Casual Fifth Dance and Taiko present Wear Me Into Spring, a multi-disciplinary work combining dance and taiko drumming, at Philadelphia FringeArts and the Cannonball Festival, with choreography by Jim May, Sokolow Theatre/Dance Ensemble’s founding director.
The video of Wear Me Into Spring, recorded in one afternoon at the MAAS building in Philadelphia, will be available for streaming from Sept 9 through Oct 7.
The live performance at the MAAS building, Sept 23 through 25 at 5:30 pm, will also include Jim May’s complete suite of three solos inspired by Rodin’s sculpture, “The Three Shades.”

Casual Fifth is the part-time performance company of ST/DE alum Alex Pfister and Mac Evans. Alex and Mac started practicing modern dance and taiko drumming in college, continued studying and performing in New York City, and now reside in Philadelphia. Casual Fifth is the joint venture of Alex and Mac and the mentors and friends they’ve made along the way.
