AN INTERDISCIPLINARY AWARD has been granted to Sokolow Theatre/Dance by F. I. T. This collaborative project scheduled for the Fall 2014 and Spring 2015 semesters will enable FIT students to collaborate in the disciplines of dance, fashion design, accessories and film with guidance from FIT faculty and special direction from Jim May, Artistic Director of the Sokolow Theatre Dance Ensemble. The Ensemble is planning a concert on December 3-7, 2014 at the 14th Street Y and a 2015 performance at F.I.T. that includes two Sokolow reconstructed works: Ride the Culture Loop (1975) music by Teo Macero, and Preludes (1984) music by Gershwin.
