Dancefusion

Philadelphia’s Dancefusion and Casual Fifth jointly present a concert of dance, percussion, and live music. Dancefusion will present The Wind (1947) a solo by legendary choreographer Mary Anthony, along with Daniel Maloney‘s duet, Close Haven and Suite for Percussion, for the full company.

Casual Fifth will present several works by choreographer and Sokolow Theatre/Dance Ensemble founding director Jim May, set to live piano performed by John Heward, along with original dance and taiko drumming works created by Alexandra Pfister, Mac Evans, and Yidan Zeng that highlight creative drumming movements existing in a realm between music and dance.
